| Amazon.com Review: Created by Margret Rey and her husband H.A. Rey, the
mischievous monkey Curious George has delighted millions of readers for more than
50 years with his hilarious hijinks. After the birth of Curious George in 1941, six
titles completed the series, which have since been translated into 12 languages.
This wonderful 416-page collector's edition (with all seven of the original Curious
George titles in one colorfully illustrated volume) features Curious George, Curious
George Takes a Job, Curious George Rides a Bike, Curious George Gets a Medal, Curious
George Flies a Kite, Curious George Learns the Alphabet, and Curious George
Goes to the Hospital. The intrepid monkey -- who represents the insatiably curious
(and invariably accident-prone) soul in all of us -- captures the heart of everyone
he meets. (Picture book) |

| Description: I
loved this book from cover to cover. About 15% of the book is about the baboons themselves,
each with distinct personalities and the rest is about the places he visits, the
people he encounters and the incredible, and sometimes dangerous, situations he finds
himself in. Sapolsky at his finest. He's a wonderful writer (and an extraordinary
speaker--I've had the pleasure of attending his seminars). Hope he lives to a ripe
old age and writes further memoirs, sharing his wit and wisdom with the rest of us.

| Publishers Weekly: A woman and her parrot. It may not sound like much, but
Burger manages to make the story of her relationship with her pet, Tiko, into one
of the warmest, funniest and weirdest memoirs of the year. Burger (Twenty-Five Nature
Spectacles in New Jersey, with Michael Gochfeld), a renowned ornithologist and professor
of biology at Rutgers University, has lived for 15 years with Tiko, who now dominates
almost every aspect of her life. He eats dinner off her plate. He takes showers with
her. He wakes her every morning and trims her nails. The two have grown so close
that they've even become (in Tiko's mind, at least) committed lovers. (more) --

| Customer Review: I
recently pic ked up a copy of Extraordinary Chickens & was delighted with both
the photo layout & the treatment of the subject. The author (who some may remember
from the photo article on chickens in Life magazine in the early 1980s)consulted
with chicken experts & exhibitors around the world to produce this feast for
the eye - a wonderful collection of the bizarre & the beautiful - most people
will be astonished at the variety of colors, shapes, & sizes available in the
world of the pure-bred exhibition chicken. -- Jennifer Floyd from Jamul, California |
